Privacy notice

What this service stores about you, why, where, and for how long.

Who we are

Vayusoft Labs publishes DHARA and operates this licensing service. Contact: .

What we hold

  • Your email address. It is your sign-in identity, held in AWS Cognito.
  • An account name, if you enter one. Optional, editable from your dashboard, and used as the billing name on invoices.
  • Your licence record — which modules you hold, when each expires, and your orders.
  • One device identifier. When DHARA is activated it sends a salted, one-way hash of a machine identifier, plus the machine's hostname and the application version. The hash cannot be reversed into a serial number; the hostname is stored as sent, because support needs to be able to tell you which machine is bound.
  • Ordinary server logs from AWS — request times, status codes, IP addresses.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising pixels. The only browser storage this site uses is your sign-in session, which is discarded when you close the tab.

Why we hold it

To perform the contract you entered when buying a licence: to know what you are entitled to, to let the application verify it, to bill you, and to support you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing without asking you separately.

Where it lives

In AWS's Mumbai region, ap-south-1. Chosen so that data about Indian customers stays in India.

How long we keep it

  • Account and licence records: while the account exists, and for seven years after the last order — the retention Indian tax law expects of financial records.
  • Device records: until the device is released, and no more than 12 months after that.
  • Server logs: 90 days.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask for erasure. Erasure ends the licence, because the entitlement record is the licence. Write to and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Sub-processors

Amazon Web Services India (hosting, identity, email delivery for verification codes) and, once online payment is enabled, the payment gateway that processes it. We will name the gateway here before it goes live. Card details never reach our servers.
